Casual Catch-Up

In line with my work related catch-up, here are a few more casual outfits. Luckily I work in an office and industry where casual attire is not only acceptable, but often expected, so I can easily rotate between more “work professional” and casual outfits based on my mood.

I dressed up a simple jeans and tee outfit with a great statement necklace and sparkly Toms. I think these jeans are absolutely my new favorite, I find myself reaching for them constantly.

Another bubble day! With our warm Seattle summers, bright colors always make me happy. This dress is from Target, and ridiculously comfortable and easy to wear.

Finally, super simple! Sometimes you just feel like throwing on jeans, a t-shirt, and Sperry’s.

Yellow Bubble

I’m normally not one to make an ebay purchase, but when I saw the bubble necklaces for $14 I knew I had to have 2! I got one in yellow, one in black, and then another one in turquoise for my sister.

I kept the rest of the outfit simple, with a white tee, cuffed jeans, and nude heels.

Summer Brights

I’m back to blogging! I’ve been super busy lately, but finally finding the time. We’ve been having some incredible summer weather here in Seattle. It was 90 degrees and perfectly sunny today! Nick was complaining about the heat (we, like most Seattlites don’t have AC), but I absolutely loved it.

Our friends had an apartment-warming party on Saturday night, so I decided to dress up a pair of shorts for the warm weather.

I paired white shorts and a coral tee with a gold statement necklace and bright green wedges. The wedges are a new “purchase” from one of my coworkers (they were sadly too small for her, so she passed them on to me with quite the discount!). I love the combo cork and rope bottom!

Target Style

I love mixing “high” and “low” pieces, and basics can be the perfect way to accomplish that. I recently discovered my new favorite tee at Target! You know that a piece is a keeper when you have it not only in multiple colors, but duplicates in the same color as well.

The tee is the scoop neck tee, and it is perfect for layering under blazers, cardigans, or jackets, or even just wearing on its own. I actually have four colors: white, grey, black, and light blue.

I also discovered Target cardigans. I love v-neck cardigans because they tend to be the most flattering to wear both buttoned and unbuttoned. The Merona ultimate cardigan sweater, currently I have it in white and blue.

I paired my grey basic tee with slacks and one of my cardigans for the perfect basic work look.

Coordinated Coral and Weekend Adventures

Having my sister up in Seattle this summer has been a total blast (she’s working up here for an internship). We’re five years apart, but ridiculously close, and she’s truly my best friend. We always had similar style (and many of the same clothing pieces), but it has just gotten ridiculous on how much we’ve been non-intentionally coordinating!

I decided to take Friday off since my parents were in town. We started with a delicious breakfast at Café Presse. I enjoyed a cappuccino, a comté omelet, and yogurt with honey and walnuts. My mom and sister shared a Croque Madame!

Throughout the weekend, we enjoyed lots of grilling and time on the roof!

Saturday, we did a great hike to Heather Lake. My sister and I even jumped in!

Finally, on Sunday, errands around town. I had to return my pink skirt from this post Sad smile. The skirt ripped! Luckily, J Crew customer service was fantastic, and returned it without any issues even though it was final sale.

The jewelry is from my first BaubleBar purchase (here is my referral link). There was a sale, so the earrings were free, and I was also able to apply my $10 off initial credit. For the price I paid, I was quite happy with the quality (however, I don’t think I would have paid full price).

Pink and Green

Seattle summer has finally started, and we’ve been having some incredible weather. To kick off the sunshine post independence day, I paired a pink pencil skirt with a mint green top for work on Thursday.

I wore a white bead bracelet, pink and gold bangle, and white bangle.

Red, white, blue, and pink!

I hope everyone had a fabulous independence day! I celebrated with my sister, family, and friends, and incredible Seattle weather.

My sister and I both paired versions of red, white, and blue. I wore a white denim miniskirt, red tee, chambray top, and my red calculus toms. She paired a turquoise necklace with a white tank, coral red shorts, and sequin Toms.

First, my sister and I started off the day by getting our hair done. I got it cut and colored, and then decided to do something I’d been wanting to try for a year: I added a pink streak! It’s on the underlayer, so it’s hidden in most cases, but then it pops out as a fun burst of color. I love it!

We then enjoyed lunch at Skillet, I spent a few hours laying out on our deck, and then we had friends over for drinks, bbq, and sunshine!

We coordinate even when we don’t try!!
